Mandibular symphysis graft

This bone graft, also known as bone apposition, increases bone volume of the upper or lower jaw bone by using an existing bone fragment.

This sample of autogenous bone block (belonging to the patient) is formed inside the chin hence the name of chin symphysis.

The fixation of this bone block is formed using titanium screws (osteosynthesis).

The procedure is done under local anesthesia in ours dentals clinics at Lille or Neufchatel-Hardelot-Plage

Facial morphology is not affected by this surgery.

The implants are usually placed four months after completion of the graft.

As the transplant fills in the original insufficient bone volume, it ensures the stability of future dental implants during their implementation.
